Cancelling a pre-order

If your order hasn’t shipped yet, you can cancel it for a full refund at any time before dispatch — just email us and we’ll refund the full amount, including any shipping paid.

Your 14-day cancellation right

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer buying online you may cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason. Tell us within that period, then return the goods within 14 days of telling us. We will refund the price of the goods and the standard outbound delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or evidence you have sent them). You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods, and for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to inspect them.

Faulty or misdescribed goods

If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we cover the return cost. Every board also carries a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects — contact us and we’ll put it right.

How to return something

• Email hello@firstlayerrobotics.com with your order reference and the reason for the return.
• We’ll confirm the return address and any details.
• Please return items in a condition that lets us resell them where possible — ideally in the original packaging, with anti-static handling for the board.

Refunds

Refunds are made to your original payment method via Stripe once we’ve received and checked the returned goods (or, for pre-order cancellations before dispatch, as soon as you ask). It can take a few working days for your bank to show the refund.
